"Prelest" is an Eastern Orthodox Christian concept referring to a state of spiritual delusion involving a false sense of spiritual superiority. Characterized by pride, Prelest may affect anyone, but also specifically refers to those on a path of spiritual growth who become overly confident in their own sanctity.

This is a collection of improvisations I recorded at the end of sessions where I was producing another pianist. I was inspired by the concept of ‘Prelest’ because it seems like now is an era of false prophets – it probably always has been.

Each work is improvised and unedited.
